Ashura observed today in Dhaka

Ashura, a Muslim festival, today with a large way in Bangladesh observed. Ashura is of great importance to any company. It is a day show to save human sacrifice for the shake. Ashura is now not only a religious festival. It has become like a cultural festival.

Ashura Holy today marking the 10th of Muharram with religious ceremony and in a manner befitting observed the Muslims in Bangladesh than anywhere else in the world.

The day is in the Muslim world observed, as a symbol of "Victims and grief" having regard to the martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hussain ibn Ali (RA), a grandson of the Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) in the battle of Karbala on the tenth of Muharram 1329 years ago.

Battle of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) with its 72 followers were martyred by the soldiers of Yazid in Karbala in Hijri-61 while fighting for the establishment of truth in society.

The word which means Ashura simply means "tenth" in Arabic, and hence the name literally translated the memory, "the 10th".

Zillur Rahman, President and head of Government: Sheikh Hasina in separate messages on the occasion demanded all to resist injustice in our national life and create of truth and justice reflect the great lessons of Saint Ashura.

"The importance and the message of the Holy Ashura inspire us voice against injustice and oppression to increase, and also to follow the path of truth and justice", she said.

Various religious organizations including Islamic Foundation, chalk from different programs to watch the day a public holiday in Bangladesh.

Shia Muslims brought the largest procession, known as Tazia in the town of Imam Bara on Hosenee Dalan of old Dhaka. Also, several processions from the city were released various areas including Mirpur, Mohammadpur and Purana Paltan.
