NCC surveys TK 10-CR cost

Dhaka, Oct 15 (bdnews24.com) ?The spend EC on TK 50 million, which will hold election law in the newly created Narayanganj City Corporation on the enforcement costs.

The EC Secretariat sought TK 51 million from the Finance Ministry last week but TK 44 million could secure,.


An EC official said that the Ministry of TK already had released 8 million.

Election Commissioner M Sakhawat Hossain says approximately 5500 members provide police, Ansars, BGB during the NCC surveys.


Chief Election Commissioner ATM Shamsul Huda said last week that he would consider deploying army "if necessary".


EC officials say that the use of electronic voting machines (EVM) in 9 districts of the city may increase the total cost.


This is the second time, which is the EVMs in an election in Bangladesh?the first in Chittagong City Corporation elections used last year.


There will be centres for 403.706 voters in Narayanganj 163 vote. And is a total 3814 officials during the election.
