Awami League-backed mayor candidate Shamim Osman has said his opposition of BNP-backed "the Jamaat-e-Islami 'Intellect' were '.""It is intellect, that community is the BNP candidate," said Shamim journalists, in response to the late-night announcement of polls boycott Taimur Alam Khan Dacian, after his voice in the Centre of Narayanganj cast bar Academy.
He called the election "peaceful" and said he would accept the result.

EC officials, dismissed the boycott announcement but have no legal consequence.

"There is no free and fair elections under this Government and the Electoral Commission," a visibly dejected Taimur, had at least three options to finish half so earlier, said the press conference late Saturday night.
